Business recycling opportunities currently exist in most communities.  To find out what is available in a community, please call either the local jurisdiction or the service provider listed in this web site. Click here for a list.

Market Development Loans
San Luis Obispo County has been designated as a Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ). Your business may be eligible for a RMDZ loan if you are manufacturing with material that would otherwise go into the landfill or if you are considering using recycled materials to make a product.

Loans come directly from the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and can be up to $2,000,000, funding up to 75% of a project's cost for machinery and equipment, working capital, land and refinancing of current debt.  For more information check online at http://www.recycleloan.org/  The current Recycling Market Development Zone Administrator may be contacted by calling (831) 636-4110.
