The IWMA has programs to help businesses manage their hazardous, universal and electronic waste. State and Federal laws govern these programs and restrictions apply. 

To dispose of hazardous, universal, and/or electronic waste please complete the
WASTE INVENTORY AND CERTIFICATION FORM

 Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) Waste Inventory and Certification Form: 

• Businesses are permitted to dispose of up to 27 gallons or 220 pounds of hazardous waste per calendar month.
  • For hazardous waste, a $25 minimum charge applies.
• This form requires an EPA ID Number for hazardous waste disposal. 
  • If you do not have an EPA ID Number, please contact the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at  1 (800) 618-6942. 

After Your Form Has Been Approved:

• Once your form is approved, you will receive a confirmation email and an invoice (if applicable).
• We are currently accepting payment by credit card and check.
  • If paying by check, please drop off or mail checks to our office (The IWMA) at 870 Osos Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.  
• Bring the approved inventoried waste form to the indicated location at your appointment date and time, which will be one of the locations listed below.

• The IWMA is not a regulatory agency and cannot advise you regarding hazardous waste regulations or your current status as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG).
