Propane Cylinders
Going camping this summer? Before embarking on your next adventure, rethink your purchase of a single-use 1lb propane cylinder. They are not reusable, and have to be handled as hazardous waste.
Please NEVER throw single-use propane canisters in the garbage or recycling bins. They are highly flammable, and liable to explode even if there's the smallest amount of propane left in the tank. If you have old single-use propane cylinders, residents can dispose of them for free at one of our Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Locations.
Instead, switch to reusable propane cylinders! Through the ReFuel Your Fun & $ave Campaign, SLO County residents can buy and refill cylinders at 10 different locations throughout the county. Look for Little Kamper brand propane cylinders at:
- Delta RV, Paso Robles
- Miner's Ace Hardware, Atascadero
- Miner's Ace Hardware, Morro Bay
- Miner's Ace Hardware, Los Osos
- The Mountain Air, SLO
- Miner's Ace Hardware, SLO
- Outdoor Supply Hardware, Pismo Beach
- Miner's Ace Hardware, Arroyo Grande
- Miner's Ace Hardware, Grocer Beach
- Miner's Ace Hardware, Nipomo
ReFuel Your Fun will be at the The Mountain Air in SLO on Friday, July 19th from 10 am - 2 pm. Stop by for a FREE reusable propane cylinder, while supplies last!
