Residents of San Luis Obispo are invited to safely dispose of their household hazardous waste (HHW) at our upcoming temporary collection events. Residents may bring up to 15 gallons or 125 lbs of accepted household hazardous waste for safe, free disposal. Check out our list of Accepted Waste Streams to see which household hazardous waste items can be dropped off.

These temporary events are intended to supplement existing HHW facilities while the Integrated Waste Management Authority (IWMA) prepares to announce the opening of a new HHW facility in the near future.
